Bach wrote music for the church but his music was not in high favor until many years later. And he wrote music for the glory of God. His whole family wrote and played music together. Bach also taught nephews and tutored other young men. He was very hospitable and many people lived with him. He married twice, and had twenty children, all though several died in childhood. His first wife was a distant cousin. He was born in 1685 and died in 1752.
