A little over a year ago some of the ladies from our church gathered to teach, those of us who didn’t know anything about grinding whole grains,  how to make our own breads from whole wheat.  The girls and I went to see what was so special about this process.  It is truely amazing the nutrition jam packed in a little grain of wheat (or barley, rice, oats, millet, corn, etc.)  Here is a link to an article about wheat.

The girls and I have started the slow process of learning and working with whole grain wheats and grains.  We are all enjoying the fresh baked breads and rolls, muffins and quick breads, cookies and cakes made with our freshly ground whole grains.  We will be sharing some of our favorite recipes, and some we have adapted to whole grains… so stay tuned.
