Grandpa and Grandma came down from Washington State to see us for almost three weeks. We had a great time with them.
We went out to eat, (About four trips to Dairy Queen for dessert.) We ate at Uno’s, Manuels, Streets of New York, and ordered pizza from Papa Johns! Delicious! Grandma cooked a lot of our meals for us. My favorite dinner was the homemade enchiladas! (I also loved the potato salad.)
Grandpa brought his RV to our house, and we spent about an hour giving it a good cleaning. (Mom and Grandma went to a craft show while we scrubbed.) When we had finished cleaning it, we rode to the RV park inside the RV. Nathan sat next to me on the couch, completely transfixed. After we parked the RV at the RV park, we all got sodas. Nathan, unfortunately, rolled down the RV steps. He came out no worse for wear, except for some bumps on his head. He still happily tells us about the time when he, “Fall, RV stairs. Bump on head.”
They took us swimming at their RV park they were staying at. Kayla and I swam in the pool for about two hours. I tried to coax Kayla to open her eyes underwater. (Not much success.) We played around with the pool toys, modeling our modest swim-wear. Grandma supplied chips at the RV before we went back home.
They came nearly every night for dinner. We’d sit outside and watch Nathan play on the slide. Kayla rode our two scooters and took pictures. Mom and Grandma cooked inside. We all played Uno, and one night we watched Heartstrings.
We all had a very good time with them.
