Scorpion Prisioner

Scorpion

As some of you heard last year, we had a sudden rage of scorpion population in our neighborhood. They hibernated through the winter, and are now surfacing again in high numbers. We’ve killed countless ones in the back yard.

Dad found one upstairs in the master bathroom. That put us up on our guard and we started searching the house with our blacklights at night.  We’ve also warned Nathan of the dangers and he knows to tell us if he ever sees one.  :)

Then, Sunday night, we caught this one on our ceiling above the big dining room table! Kayla spotted it. Dad got a jar and a fly swatter and popped it in this jar. Today I took some pictures of our new ‘creature’—I don’t think we could call it our ‘pet’.  I suppose it could be our pet, becaused we named it. He’s called Haaman. :D What will we do if it has babies and we find out Haaman is a female? Actually, no, problem solved. We could call it Vashti if it’s a female.  :P

  1. ROFL Too bad Haaman had no chance to meet Exodus – they would have made a great pair!! Are you going to keep him then?

  2. Well, if he lives….we gave him a fresh, dead fly, but he hasn’t eaten it yet and he’s not very lively. You can see him on Sunday… :D
