Sewing and Reading

This is a quilt Mom has been working on. She just recently started sewing the squares together! It is a quilt with character definitions on.

“And he had only one leg”

Daddy has also been reading to us in the evening while Mom sews. We just started Treasure Island. I’m afraid I’ve already read it, but no else has heard it yet. (Kayla kept asking me, “What happens next?! Oh, please tell me!!!”) It’s a first-rate pirate story, written by Robert Louis Stevenson. The nice thing about it, is that God is not taken out of the picture. There has been references to God and one character mentioned that when he was small, he was able to ‘rattle off his catechism’. It’s also full of rich English and exciting twists, and we’ve all been enjoying it. :D
